Here are a few things you can do to stay warm in colder temperatures and throughout the winter.
Tips from Alaskan Raw Foodists (source: The Best of Raw Food)
- More exercise
- Cayenne pepper in socks and cloves
- Add more heating spices to food (cayenne, ginger, peppercorn, garlic).
- Raw doesn't mean your food has to be cold. You can warm food up to 120F for 2 minutes (just stir when it becomes too warm to touch).
- Warm up plates
- Put a cold salad from the fridge in the dehydrator/oven for a few minutes to make it room temperature
- Put warm sauces/salad dressings over your salad
- Drink warm apple cider
- Stay raw as much as possible
- Decide you are going to be healthy during the winter
- Don't eat more nuts and seeds because you think you need more fat.
- Avoid mucus foods - pastas, rice, etc (these contribute to colds and flus)
- Keep track of what you are eating
- Foods don't have to be cold
- Stay warm in the winter
- Get outside more
- Exercise and stay fit

Great tips! I just tried juicing ginger with a raw juice recipe and was surprised how much I like the flavor and how warm I felt inside!
Living A Whole Life..Yeah..Ginger is warming and good for so many things. I know what I'll be using on those chilly days. :-)
